My Studio is a Work in Progress

Studio collage

A sis requested pictures of my newly emerging studio. I made a little collage, which basically means I didn’t want to clean up the whole room. So for now you just get a sneak peak.

Half the time I still refer to it as my daughter’s room. And it’s here for her when she is home, but now decorating it is up to me. At the same time I have to make it useful.

A lot of my crafting supplies are still scattered around the house, and this room is not where I want it to be yet, but it’s a place for me to do my thing.

  1. You're going white?!?! Where are those gorgeous artsy jewel tones that you love? Now I'm afraid to post my efforts to create a studio (also white) because I can already hear Jon saying that all of us Burton girls only have one brain between us.
Are those your Valenitne swap cards on the little white tiered table? I''m so excited to finish mine this week-end. I want to make some little jewels for each one, and I don't like any of my glues or sticks, so I have everything lined up for assembly, but not really ready. Are you doing a back...mine seems so sad without one.

  3. Thanks!
Yes, Mom, you saw a peek of my Valentines.
I do want color but I go back and forth so much that I think I might hang fabric up or something. I don't want to make the room seem dark either. I can't decide.

  4. My space is also mostly white, and I LOVE it! There are a lot of pink things I bought just because they were pink (my favorites: an old pink Cadillac and a rhinestone studded crown clock) and rainbows of folded fabric on the shelves of my sewing/quilting wall. Most of my red stuff is going down to the laundry room....I have a goal to do that room this summer (if not before). I love your space. The white reminds me of a blank canvas just waiting for some creativity!
